I thought since a lot of us go back to teach or speak to journalism students, etc., we could share some tips for things that might make a nice treat for business travelers. (ie stuff we couldn't afford as students!) Got any to share? For example I hear the LaSalle Hotel in downtown Bryan got all redone, but I haven't seen the rooms. And downtown Bryan is all revivified and gussied up these days. These are three places I liked that are all pretty close to campus: Reveille Inn: This was the KA house when I was a student, then remodeled as a fairly expensive family home, and now a nice bed and breakfast full of Aggie memorabilia. Friendly students cook you breakfast. $145 a night. www.reveilleinn.comVineyard Court hotel: A very nice, fairly new suite-type hotel. Close to campus (not near any vineyards!), amenities (pillow-top beds, marble tubs, nice kitchen facilities, pool). $79-$149 a night and up. www.vineyardcourt.comGalleria Day Spa: Cozy little white house with a cottage feel; massages, facials, nails, etc. Pedicure with foot bath and massage, $35. www.galleriadayspa.com
